FOR PARENTS

Q: Can I add additional parent / guardians to my account?
A: Yes! SportsConnect allows you to add multiple parent / guardians to your account which will allow them to also be linked to all teams the players on that account are involved in. This also allows the additional parent / guardians to be signed up for Volunteer roles. Primary account holders can follow the instructions linked here to send invitations to additional parent / guardians. Once they receive an email, they will need to create a username and password to complete setup.

Q: How will I receive team communications / messages. What app should I download?
A: The SportsConnect platform (what you see when you login at pcaasports.org) is the primary hub for team and schedule management. All scheduling and rostering is performed here. Parents can view their child's team schedule and information anytime during a season through the Team Hub after logging in from a browser (PC, Mac, Phone)

Coaches will communicate in 2 ways during the season. Longer form communications (emails) will likely come from the SportsConnect team hub. Shorter form messaging (i.e. gameday/practice notes, photo streams, ad-hoc messaging) will be managed through GameChanger. This will be the primary messaging in-season and will contain practice & game schedules in addition to messaging and live scorekeeping. Coaches will send out invites for parents to join their teams in GameChanger shortly after rosters have been set. 
The GameChanger app is available for download on mobile devices in both the Apple & Android app stores. 

Once you receive your team invite, you will be able to link to your respective player(s).

FOR COACHES

Q: I need to update a practice or game schedule, where should this be done?
A: 
All schedule updates MUST be made in SportsConnect. All changes to schedules, rosters, etc made in SportsConnect are automatically synced into GameChanger. Any schedule changes modifications made directly in GameChanger DO NOT sync back to SportsConnect & do not take into account actual field availability / conflicts. Any changes made in GameChanger directly will not be considered official. The SportsConnect calendar will be the official record for scheduling.

NOTE: All schedule changes must be approved by Division Commissioners prior to being updated


Q: How should I communicate with my team? What apps will I need?
A: Post-draft, rosters will be posted in SportsConnect. Once rosters & teams are posted, coaches will login to GameChanger to import their teams. Once this is complete, coaches may then share the invite link with their teams along with instructions for linking parents to their respective players.
