Building a Better Ballpark: Our Vision for the Future

At the heart of our league is a simple goal: providing the best possible environment for our players to learn, compete, and grow. While registration fees serve to cover our essential operating costs—like insurance, uniforms, and equipment—our facility enhancements are powered primarily by the generosity of our community and the success of events like our annual Spring Fling

By investing in upgrades, we aren't just fixing what’s broken; we are investing in establishing a facility that our Pineville community and families can be proud of for years to come. These funds also help cover less fun, but critical surprise expenses (i.e. bathroom pump failure Spring 2025, Field 1, Field 2 & T-ball infield rebuilds Spring 2025 as well as drainage repair / upgrades Spring 2026 to improve playability on Field 3)

Note: If there is a project you're particularly passionate about and would be interested in personally sponsoring - we're happy to discuss. We'll even put your name on it!

Facility Enhancement Priorities

We have identified four key projects based on safety, player development, and the overall fan experience. Here is how we are prioritizing these goals:

PriorityProjectValue & Impact
1Central Hub: Shade & PowerInfrastructure. A central shaded area with electrical outlets creates a "home base" for the league. This would give us power for our scoreboard controllers and concessions while providing a much-needed retreat from the sun.

Current Status: Receiving Estimates
2 Batting Cages Upgrades
Skill Development. Adding lighting and/or shelter to our batting cages means the work doesn't stop when it rains or gets dark. This maximizes our facility usage and gives players more "hacks" year-round. Additionally, we're always looking for opportunities to add more batting cage lanes on the property.

Current Status: Soliciting / reviewing estimates for several variations
3Spectator Safety NettingSafety First. Protecting our families from foul balls is our top concern. This netting allows parents and siblings to enjoy the game without constantly "keeping their head on a swivel."

Current Status: Budgeting
4Fenced BullpensGame Readiness. Dedicated pitching centers for each field allow pitchers to warm up safely and effectively, keeping them off the sidelines and reducing the risk of injury.

Current Status: Scoping

Why Your Support Matters

Funds raised through the Spring Fling and our seasonal fundraisers are allocated toward facility improvements. Whether it’s ensuring a scoreboard actually turns on or making sure a foul ball doesn't interrupt a post-game snack, your contribution builds a safer, more conducive environment for every child who steps onto the diamond.

A Note on Maintenance: Beyond these "value-add" projects, fundraising also allows us to proactively replace aging assets (fencing, turf, and seating) before they reach the end of their life cycle, ensuring the park never falls into disrepair. While we were blessed with a brand new facility in 2015/16, you'll see plenty of places around the park beginning to show their age: whether it's the bathroom pump, the water fountains, drainage issues on Field 3, etc; there are a number of places we must invest to keep things operational in addition to enhancements.
